A coloured version of this animated model is illustrated by Peter Bradshaw, Bow Porcelain Figures, 1992, p.120, fig.83 and was sold by Bonhams as part of the Elizabeth Adams Collection on 11 December 2024, lot 99. Another is illustrated alongside this figure by Mary White, who considers this to be one of the most successful of all of Bow's figures. The dynamic modelling is perhaps more reminiscent of the Classical gods made at Derby in this period. A Derby figure of Jupiter with a more diminutive eagle by his side from the Mavis Bimson Collection was sold by Bonhams on 14 December 2023, lot 302.
