AN IVORY NETSUKE OF A TEAL
By Ohara Mitsuhiro, Osaka (1810-1875), 19th century
Naturalistically carved in the round, resting and facing ahead, a small tuft on the back of its head, the ivory of good colour and the eyes inlaid in dark horn; signed Ohara Mitsuhiro with kao.
4.8 cm (1 7/8 in.) long
