Description:
China, six character mark Qianlong and period
H. 8,3 cm
Each amulet cast with a tantric divinity, one seated astride a mule, the other a boar, holding clubs in their hands, wearing garments, bejewelled, their faces showing a serene and a fierce expression, aureoles behind, each placed against a floral or rocky background and within a flaming border, the reverse with the six character mark Qianlong and a mantra in the Lantsha script.
An important private collection from southern Germany, assembled between 1956 and 2007, collection no. 20021 and 20022, acquired at Lempertz Cologne on7.6.1996, lot 121 - Very minor wear
