Of the first size, painted by Jean-Louis Morin with a marine scene depicting figures loading cargo, the saucer with a figure fishing on the coast, within a gilt-edged panel, the rims with elaborate gilt borders of interlocking foliate bands interspersed with lyres, flowerheads and foliate motifs, the cup: 7.6cm high; the saucer: 15cm diam., interlaced LL monograms with date letter dd, painter's marks M for Morin, b for Jean-Pierre Boulanger and gilder's mark # for Michel-Barnabé Chauvaux (l'aîné), incised marks (2)
