说明:The Drum Bridge at Kameido was celebrated for its dramatically steep arch and its wisteria-draped pergola, visible to the lower right; though here, the blossoms have faded and only foliage remains. The bridge leads to Tenmangu Shrine, built in 1662 on reclaimed land to honour the scholar-statesman Sugawara no Michizane (845-903), and was one of Edo's most beloved scenic spots.
