Tibet, Ancient Pala style, ca. 18th cent.

Seated in lalitasana on a lotus base with her right foot supported by a smaller one issued from the main base, her right hand in the varadamudra while the left is showing the vitarkamudra, stems of lotuses flowering along the upper arms, wearing sari, bejewelled, her face displaying a serene expression with downcast eyes below arched eyebrows, her hair combed in a low chignon topped with a ratna and secured with beaded strings, unsealed
