Seated in lalitasana on a caparisoned lion reclining on a lotus-base, his roaring head facing the viewer, the right hand of Guanyin holding a cup while the left is raised and showing the varadamudra, wearing various garments including a wide-sleeved mantle, bejewelled, his face displaying a serene expression with downcast eyes below arched eyebrows, elongated earlobes, the hair combed in a chignon and secured with a five-leaf tiara decorated with a pair of floating ribbons and pattras, traces of gilt- and red-lacquer.
