说明:Mount Tenpo was an artificial hill built in 1832 from dredging silt at the mouth of Osaka's Aji River and quickly became a popular tourist destination. Viewed from an elevated, bird’s-eye view perspective, the composition feels more reminiscent of a map print. Hokusai unusually inscribed the print ‘using a picture of Osaka, at special request’, acknowledging that the design was based on a secondary source.
