Han Sang-soo is recognized as a holder of Important Intangible Cultural Heritage No. 80 in embroidery, an honor bestowed by South Korea to preserve and celebrate traditional practices such as music, dance, and crafts; recipients are often referred to as National Living Treasures. A museum dedicated for her works, the Han Sang Soo Embroidery Museum, was established in Bukchon Hanok Village, Korea, in 2005, as a private museum (No. 20). Her works can be found in major institutions and exhibitions, including Korean Embroidery in Modern Times: The Birds Trying to Catch the Sun, the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea, 2024.
