Comprising: a box lacquered with a continuous scene of birds taking flight above pine trees next to a river bank in gold hiramaki-e and takamaki-e with gold foil and kirikane, the interior and base of nashiji ground; a box modelled as a seated rakan against a tiger lacquered overall in kinji with diaper and key-fret patterns on his flowing robe, the interior and base in nashiji; a rectangular box decorated with a hotei in relief at the centre of the cover, lacquered overall in nashiji with metal mounts on the rims, wood box.
The largest 13.7cm (5 3/8in) x 10.7cm (4 3/16in) x 5.5cm (2 1/8in). (7).
