Finely painted by P.-N. Pithou (l'aîné) with a loose bouquet of flowers within a gilt floral and foliate scrollwork cartouche, gilt dentil borders to the rims, the cover applied with a flower finial, 8.4cm high, interlaced LL monogram enclosing date letter K and painter's mark for Pithou (l'aîné), incised SD (2)
