Standing in samabhanga on a separate cast lotus base, his eight arms radiating around his body, the principle hands in anjalimudra, the others with the prescribed attributes and gestures, some attributes missing, wearing dhoti secured around the waist with a ribbon knotted to the front, cape draped around his shoulders, bejewelled, his eleven-faced head showing various expression, the upper head of Buddha Amitabha and the hairdo’s secured with tiaras, seal with minor damages.
An important private collection from southern Germany, assembled between 1956 and 2007, collection no. 20023, acquired from Lempertz Cologne, 7.6.1996, Lot 76 - Minor wear, attributes partly lost, slightly chipped
