The centre of the painting is occupied by Buddha Amitabha seated in vajrasana on a lotus base on a throne decorated to its front with a pair of peacocks, placed in the fenced pavilion of the Western Paradise, his hands resting on his lap supporting the alms-bowl, wearing a monastic garment, his face displaying a serene expression, head and body aureoles behind, flanked by the white standing Padmapani and the blue Maitreya, the latter holding the stem of a lotus flowering along his right arm supporting the kamandalu, the upper register with Buddha Shakyamuni and Tsongkhapa, the lower part with six seated bodhisattvas ordered around a pond with lotus flowers and a couple of worshipping monks and the entrance of the fence with Buddha Shakyamuni accompanied by two monks, in brocade mounting.
