In the Crane collection, there is an enamelled turquoise bottle with floral design and Qianlong four-character seal mark, accessed here. The original mark on the current lot, with only traces left now, would have been identical to the Crane example. Though the branches and leaves on the Crane example are outlined, the petals of the two large roses are enamelled with the outlines in reserve, very much like the overall technique on the current lot.
