Tibeto-Chinese, late 18th cent.
H. 17,2 cm
Seated in vajrasana on a lotus base, her eight arms radiating around her body, the principle hands in the dharmachakramudra and another hand supporting a minute figure of Buddha, wearing sari, scarf draped around her shoulders, bejewelled, her triple-faced head showing different expressions, the central one serene with downcast eyes, her hair combed in a chignon and secured with a tiara, unsealed.
An important private collection from southern Germany, assembled between 1956 and 2007, collection no. 200147, acquired from Lempertz Cologne, 11.6.2004, Lot 79 - Minor wear, attributes lost
