Silk satin (black), embroidery: gold and silver thread appliquéd with colored silk. Lining fabric: orange.The peacock, symbolizing the third civil rank, standing on a small rock amidst waves with floating treasures. It is surrounded by clouds and further treasure motifs against a background of dense spirals. The bird looking up and to the right toward the sun in pink. Border with bats and Shou medallions.
Old South German private collection, acquired prior to 1990 - The peacocks sewn on, both badges sewn together, minor wear, slightly creased, longitudinal fold slightly darkened
