An octagonal fluted plate, finely potted with gently everted sides rising to an octagonal rim, painted in the central medallion with two magpies perched amongst blossoming peony branches, one standing upon a perforated scholar’s rock and the other beside a balustraded terrace, accompanied by an insect in flight. The cavetto enclosed by a double octagonal line and bordered at the rim with a narrow band of alternating ruyi heads, the reverse decorated with lingzhi scrolls and the Eight Precious Objects. The base inscribed in underglaze cobalt blue with a four-character mark of Longqing nian zao (隆慶年造) within a double square.
此盤作八方形，胎體精細，器壁呈瓜棱狀，口沿微撇。盤心繪牡丹喜鵲圖，兩隻喜鵲棲於盛開的牡丹枝間，一隻立於玲瓏洞石之上，另一隻置身於帶欄杆的庭臺旁，上方另有昆蟲飛舞。內壁以青花雙線八方框界出，口沿環飾一道如意雲頭紋。
盤背繪纏枝靈芝及雜寶紋。底部青花雙方框內書「隆慶年造」四字款。
