Finely modelled in underglaze blue and white porcelain, the bodhisattva Guanyin is shown seated in dhyanamudra upon a high-backed throne, flanked by two diminutive acolytes. Her serene face is framed by long flowing locks and adorned with an elaborate headdress surmounted by a small seated Buddha, identifying her as Avalokiteshvara. Gracefully rendered birds perch upon her shoulders, while richly painted floral scrolls and ornamental motifs decorate her robes. The rectangular pedestal is painted with a lotus-petal frieze, symbolising purity and enlightenment.
The figure displays the distinctive sculptural quality and refined cobalt decoration associated with the finest devotional porcelains of the late Ming period. Comparable examples are preserved in important museum and private collections, including a closely related figure formerly in the renowned C. T. Loo Collection and exhibited in the 1949 exhibition Blue-Decorated Porcelain of the Ming Dynasty at the Philadelphia Museum of Art (cat. no. 126). Another similar example is illustrated in Mostra d’Arte Cinese, Venice, 1954 (cat. no. 677).
此尊以青花瓷精塑觀音菩薩結禪定印，端坐於高背寶座之上，兩側侍立童子。觀音面容慈祥寧靜，長髮披垂，頭戴華麗寶冠，冠頂塑一尊結跏趺坐的小化佛，表明其觀世音菩薩的身份。雙肩各棲一鳥，衣袍以青花繪纏枝花卉及各式裝飾紋樣。下承長方形臺座，外壁環飾蓮瓣紋，象徵清淨與覺悟。
此像造型端莊，雕塑感鮮明，青花發色雅麗，體現晚明高級供奉瓷塑的藝術特色。重要博物館及私人收藏中可見相近例器，其中一尊曾為著名盧芹齋（C. T. Loo）舊藏，並於1949年費城藝術博物館「Blue-Decorated Porcelain of the Ming Dynasty」展覽中展出（圖錄編號126）；另一相近例見1954年威尼斯《Mostra d’Arte Cinese》展覽圖錄（編號677）。
