註：據畫家家屬陶為衍所編之〈陶冷月年譜長編〉，本幅乃一九六〇年四月四日之作。是月陶氏因患膽囊炎入住盧灣區中心醫院，上款「春堂」即該院針炙科主任劉春堂，醫術高明，針到病除，故畫家取遍佈枝頭之繁密松針為題，喻其金針千萬，救治無數。
