Tibeto-Chinese, 19th cent.

Seated in vajrasana on a lotus base, his right hand in varadamudra while the left is showing the vitarkamudra, both holding stems of lotuses, wearing dhoti, scarf draped around his shoulders, bejewelled, his face displaying a serene expression with downcast eyes below arched eyebrows, raised urna at his forehead, his hair combed in a chignon and secured with a tiara, unsealed.
An important private collection from southern Germany, assembled between 1956 and 2007, collection no. 20007 bought in December 1989 according to tradition from a local collector in Bavaria - Minor traces of age
