Qianlong six-character mark, 19th century
Rising from a raised foot to an elongated neck and an everted rim, the moulded upturned petals decorated with alternating calligraphy and landscapes against a blue and white ruyi ground, the neck finely enamelled with 'lotus' scrolling foliage, bats and stylised shou characters divided by a blue and white band with 'lotus' and shou medallions, the foliate mouth rim painted in iron-red simulating flower petals, a six-character underglaze blue Qianlong mark to the base. 32.5cm (12 3/4in) high.
