Each exquisitely cast, the first depicting the bearded sage Laozi seated atop a horned buffalo, his domed head modelled with a deeply furrowed brow and jovial expression, clad in long flowing robes, his left hand resting on his knee and his right hand raised in instruction; the second depicting possibly Taishang Laojun wearing an official's hat, with a serene countenance, long moustache, beard and sidelocks, clad in long flowing robes and holding a fan in his right hand.
Laozi: 4 5/16 x 3 3/4 x 2 1/8in (11 x 9.5 x 5.4cm)
Taishang Laojun: 4 1/4 x 3 3/16 x 2 1/8in (10.9 x 8.2 x 5.4cm)

Each exquisitely cast, the first depicting the bearded sage Laozi seated atop a horned buffalo, his domed head modelled with a deeply furrowed brow and jovial expression, clad in long flowing robes, his left hand resting on his knee and his right hand raised in instruction; the second depicting possibly Taishang Laojun wearing an official's hat, with a serene countenance, long moustache, beard and sidelocks, clad in long flowing robes and holding a fan in his right hand.
