In addition to the painting executed by Wen Yongchen, the inscriptions contributed by some other famous artists, including Zhao Shao'ang (1905-1998), Feng Kanghou (1901-1983), Chen Jinghong (1903-1993) and Huang Junbi (1898-1991) provide valuable insight into the artistic and social context in which the painting was created, as well as the friendships surrounding its production.
