Good condition with typical surface wear and scratching. Polished knicks to the right-hand corners of three lobes, the longest circa 2 cm, the points at the end of lobes also lightly polished.

说明：Distinguished by its unusual and dramatically articulated foliate rim, this zhadou is a particularly fine example of Northern Song black-glazed ware. The six sharply out-turned petal lobes create a striking and sculptural profile, a treatment rarely encountered on black-glazed vessels of the period, with very few comparable examples known. Compare a similar jar sold at Bonhams London, 5th November 2009, lot 234; and another sold in our New York rooms, 17th March 2021, lot 104.
