The centre skilfully painted with a woven basket filled with flowering branches of peony, magnolia, orchid and poppy, with further flowers visible through the open sides, a bowl of fruit containing finger citrons and melons behind, all within a series of diaper borders of green and pink, with floral panels and detailing.

Compare also to an eggshell dish, sold at Christie's New York, 25th March 2022, lot 1149.
