generally good visual condition overall, small flake to top of one mask handle, fleabites to edge of foot ring, fissure to one dragon whisker, small flakes to flame edge of both jewels.

Probably Palace Glassworks, Beijing, Of opaque white glass of flattened circular form, the shoulders sloping to a flared neck, the lip flat, the recessed foot surrounded by a protruding oval footrim; with a dark blue overlay superbly carved on each main side with a scaly five-clawed long-whiskered dragon chasing a flaming pearl, the narrow sides carved with mask and ring handles, the overlay forming the footrim.
