Generally good condition, moderate surface wear, small flake to inside of foot ring; lacking spoon, under Uv light no repairs or restorations seen.

Attributed to the Palace kilns, Jingdezhen; of bulbous circular form, with a cylindrical neck, flat lip and protruding oval footrim, finely painted in famille-rose enamels to depict on one main side two pigeons on a grassy bank, under overhanging bamboo, the reverse with a similar scene of two pigeons, one with outstretched wings, also on a grassy bank, a clump of blossoming orchids to one side, the base with a four-character Daoguang nianzhi mark in iron-red enamel
