Compare with three similar glass bottles of the same colour albeit slightly different shapes or marks, see Christie's, New York, 19 Sep 2007, with a Qianlong mark, catalogued as Imperial and Yangzhou, National Museum of History in Taipei, acc.no., and Crane Collection, accessed . About the Crane bottle, Balbach discussed that the bottle belongs to a group of opaque glass bottles enamelled in flat colours that vary across the design with little shading. The bases usually carry either a three character Guyue Xuan mark, as does the current lot, or a four character Qianlong mark. Curiously in the current lot, the character is written in a peculiar way. An identical Guyuexuan mark can be seen on a bottle from the Crane collection, accessed .
