〈陳少梅〉榮寶先生博教，戊寅三月，少梅陳彰。
〈壽鑈〉（〈點绛唇〉、〈浣溪沙〉、〈生查子〉，文略）榮寶仁兄雅令，七十八戊寅八月，壽鑈。
〈劉光城〉榮寶先生雅正，戊寅夏月，子久劉光城。

〈周乃森〉錄〈劍南詩集〉。榮寶先生方家雅正，次杉周乃森。

註：本幅八家，五人乃湖社骨幹，壽石工則與湖社關係匪淺，扇中陳少梅寫工筆仕女，劉子久、王慕樵、王心竟則作細筆山水，皆施所長，風格傳承北樓，出宋元而各自成家。
湖社於民國畫壇影響甚著，上款「榮寶」先生待考，惟其集湖社仝仁，又及周乃森、李詵二位政界人士，應為當時有力人士。
周乃森，字次杉，山東聊城人，曾任職於河北省政府民政廳。
李詵，江蘇昆山人，出身世家，清末畢業於京師法律學堂，與金城為大理院同儕，亦曾任蒙藏院司長。
