Finely potted with gently rounded sides rising from a neatly finished foot ring, the bowl is painted in underglaze cobalt blue on the exterior with a continuous scrolling floral vine, interrupted by four lozenge-shaped panels formed by overlapping squares. Each panel encloses one of the auspicious characters fu, shou, kang, and ning (福壽康寧), together conveying the blessing, “Good fortune, longevity, health, and peace.” The interior is centred with a lotus medallion enclosed within a double circle, a broad band of cockscomb scrolls and a narrow cell-diaper border below the rim.
The base bears the unusual four-character cyclical inscription dingsi nian zao (丁巳年造, “made in the dingsi year”), corresponding to 1617 during the reign of the Wanli Emperor (1573–1620).
此碗胎體細膩，弧腹，下承圈足。外壁以青花繪纏枝花卉紋，其間飾四處方形交疊而成的菱形開光，內分書「福、壽、康、寧」四字，寓意福壽安康、祥和平寧。碗心繪蓮花紋，外繞雙圈，內壁飾一周纏枝雞冠花紋，近口沿處飾錦地紋一周。
底書「丁巳年造」四字干支紀年款，頗為少見。丁巳年即萬曆四十五年（1617年）。
