说明：Miniature Tang dynasty figures of rabbits have long been treasured as rare and beloved scholars objects. Likely derived from an assemblage of zodiacal figures, the present figure is particularly remarkable in its covering with a vibrant sancai glaze in contrast to a more well-known group of slightly larger white-glazed examples. Compare a white-glazed rabbit sold at Christie's New York from the Alsdorf Collection, 24th September 2020, lot 897; another from the collection of Mineo Hata sold in our Hong Kong rooms, 29th October 2024, lot 2205; and another particularly closely related example glazed in blue, in the Tokyo National Museum, Tokyo, illustrated in William Watson, Tang and Liao Ceramics, New York, 1984, pl. 249.
