the larger bottle painted by Ma Shaoxuan, 1896
the ink rubbings read as follows:
mid-right: 'clever and trustworthy at a young age, the mind is nurtured to understand the "three voids".'
lower left: 'the Palace of Nine Accomplishments was built on the site of the Palace of Benevolence and Longevity of the Sui Dynasty.'
lower right: 'water flows outside the door, but where is the horizon? And whose house is that surrounded by trees? Pan Zuyin,' with one red seal.
the smaller bottle painted by Ma Shaoxuan, 1897
an inscription with a red seal to one side reading:
'May your descendants be ranked as marquises generation after generation,' the reverse with a poetic insciption, signed Ma Shaoxuan with one red seal
