This elegantly painted glass bottle, reminiscent of Palace Workshop bottles executed in the Qianlong period, is a probable work by Ye Bengqi (fl. 1930-1960), the 3rd son of the master artist Ye Zhongsan. Famous for his recreation of Imperial glass bottles which he studied when viewing on trips to the Palace Museum, his designs were brilliantly executed, notably on white glass bottles. See a discussion of Ye Bengqi and his talents by Hugh Moss, 'The Apricot Studio Grove, Part III, Enameled Glass Wares', JICSBS, 1985, pp. 116-30.
