Song Dynasty
The first jar with a compressed rounded body rising to a gently flared upright neck and set with a pair of ribbed loop handles, covered in a lustrous dark brown glaze with thick russet streaking; the second of globular form, the deep olive hued glaze decorated in black with foliate designs.
The handled jar 11cm (4 3/8in) high. (2).

In 1972, Bluett's offered the Postan collection for sale, comprising mostly ceramics of the Song dynasty, with the catalogue entitled Early Chinese Ceramics from the Postan Collection.
