The small saucer dish has shallow rounded sides and is supported on a spreading pedestal foot. The centre is painted in underglaze cobalt blue with a river landscape, depicting a fisherman seated beneath the canopy of a boat, leisurely casting his line amid distant layered mountains. The inner border is encircled by flowering and fruiting sprays, while the exterior is sparsely accented in underglaze cobalt blue and the foot decorated with lingzhi. The base bears an apocryphal six-character Chenghua mark in two columns within a double circle.
Despite its small size, the decoration is skilfully arranged, with the fishing boat in the foreground balanced by the distant mountains. Evoking an idealised life removed from worldly concerns, the theme reflects the late Ming literati appreciation of reclusion and harmony with nature.
小碟敞口，淺弧腹，下承外撇高足。碟心以青花繪山水漁舟圖，一漁夫坐於篷舟之中，泛舟江上，持竿垂釣，遠山疊嶂，悠然自得。內壁環飾折枝花果紋，外壁以青花點綴，高足繪靈芝。足底青花雙圈內書「大明成化年製」六字雙行寄託款。
畫面雖尺幅小巧，構圖卻疏密有致，近景漁舟與遠山相互呼應。漁隱題材寄託遠離塵囂、悠遊山水的生活理想，體現晚明文人藝術崇尚隱逸與自然的審美情趣。
