An incense burner modelled after a duck standing on a base supported by two upright floral elements, its neck turned backwards and decorated with vertical strokes simulating feathers. The folded wings and tail form the detachable hollow cover, while the bird clasps a globular object in its beak. The entire piece is painted in underglaze cobalt blue. When incense is burned, the smoke rises through the hollow body and neck before emerging from the duck's beak, creating a captivating visual effect. A superb example of a zoomorphic incense burner, designed to transform the ritual of burning incense into both a sensory and visual experience.
