Compare a huanghuali square-corner cabinet featuring bookmatched panel doors and a carved, moulded apron joining the legs, illustrated by Gustav Ecke in Chinese Domestic Furniture, Vermont and Tokyo, 1962, pl. 131, no. 104. A further related huanghuali square-corner cabinet of variant proportions and with a carved cusped apron was sold at Christie’s New York, 25th September 2020, lot 1653.
