Tibeto-Chinese, 18th/19th c.

Standing in alidhasana on an elephant reclining on lotus base, his six arms radiating around his body, his principle hands holding karttika and kapala, wearing tiger-skirt, bejewelled, his face displaying a wrathful expression with bulging eyes below raised bushy eyebrows, beard framing his chin and his flaming hairdo secured with a tiara decorated with skulls, unsealed.
Old German private collection, according to the present owner acquired from Ludwig Bretschneider (1909 - 1987), Munich, in the 1970s - Minor wear, slightly chipped
