Of rounded spade shape, the shoulders sloping to a cylindrical neck, with a flat lip and slightly concave foot, delicately painted on one side with a boy beside a fish pond, the reverse with a scholar sleeping at a table, another crouching nearby, brush in hand, holding the robes of the first, the base with a four-character iron-red Daoguang mark in seal script
