Each crested toprail with up-turned ends and supported by a plain, well-figured backsplat and curved back posts running through the rectangular frame of the soft mat seat, the arm rests tenoned to s-curved side posts and curving outward over the front posts which extend through the seat to the box stretchers, the seat set off by a u-shaped apron at the front and horizontal stretchers on the short sides bisected by vertical posts.
