Three with rounded sides and domed covers, and a fourth with cylindrical sides and a flat top, each decorated to the cover with a rounded rectangular panel depicting a lady and a gentleman, the side and cover with bands of floral scroll, a gilt spearhead band at the rim, the ivory-white glaze with a pale brown craquelure.
The largest 10cm (4in) diam. (8).

Soft-paste porcelain is low-fired porcelain which became popular during the second quarter of the 18th century. Known in Chinese as huashi, or 'slippery stone', it is known for its creamy-white hue, often suffused with craquelure. Chinese-enamelled soft-paste is particularly rare. A blue and white soft-paste circular snuff box and cover, mid Qianlong, was sold at Bonhams Hong Kong, 24th November 2013, lot 17.
