The censer is of cylindrical form, with a straight rim and deep sides supported on three moulded beast-mask feet painted in underglaze blue. The body is decorated with a continuous figural scene depicting a young attendant carrying a bundle of books along a woodland path, while two scholars are shown on the other sides reclining before screens, surrounded by ancient trees, plantain and balustrades. Below the rim is a band of floral panels alternating with diaper-patterned sections, surmounted by a border of short vertical lines. The interior walls are glazed, while the inner well and underside are left unglazed.
爐呈圓筒形，直口，深腹，下承三隻模印青花獸首足。腹部以青花通景繪高士圖，一書僮手抱書卷，行於林間小徑，另兩面分繪兩名高士倚坐於屏風前，四周伴以古樹、蕉葉及欄杆。近口處環飾開光花卉，間以錦地紋樣，口沿飾短直線紋。內壁施釉，內底及器底露胎。
