Each modelled standing with the head turned to the left and with well defined wrinkled hide, dressed in elaborate trappings and saddle cloths decorated with mythical characters beneath pine, supporting a separate square incense container decorated with figural panels, the covers surmounted by karashishi finials, all in underglaze blue, iron red and gilt.
