说明：The vibrant slip design of the present vase, evoking a landscape in a few dramatic turns of the brush, exemplifies the artistic freedom of later Cizhou potters, possessing a bold sense of expression akin to contemporaneous ink paintings.
Compare a closely related vase from the collection of George Eumorfopoulos, preserved in the Benaki Museum, Athens (accession no. GE 2290); and another excavated in 1973 from a Jin dynasty site in Xiaokou, Ronghuashan Town, Zhuanghe City, now preserved in the Lüshun Museum, Dalian, illustrated on the Museum's website. See also a similar example sold at Christie's London, 14th and 17th June 1985, lot 306.
The dating of this lot is consistent with the results of thermoluminescence test, Oxford Authentication Ltd., no. P109q54.
