Good overall condition, with just a minute glaze flake to the foot ring, and very minor firing imperfections, including a small kiln flake (approx. 0.6 cm), also to the foot ring. Light rim wear and surface scratches as expected.

This exceptionally rare charger represents a continuation of the celebrated white porcelain tradition established in the early Ming dynasty. While large dishes decorated with the classic 'lotus bouquet' motif are well known in underglaze blue from the Yongle and Xuande reigns, examples covered in a monochrome white glaze with anhua decorations are exceedingly rare, and those bearing a Xuande reign mark are virtually unseen.
The appreciation for white-glazed porcelains reached its zenith during the preceding Yongle period, driven by the Emperor's devout adherence to Tibetan Buddhism and his fondness for the lustrous tianbai ('sweet white') glaze, which resembled white jade. The Yongle Emperor frequently commissioned significant quantities of white porcelains for Buddhist ceremonies, particularly those carried out during the visits of high-ranking Tibetan abbots to the Ming capital, and as imperial gifts for important monasteries in Tibet.
The Xuande Emperor inherited this refined aesthetic and continued the production of high-quality monochrome white wares, but introduced the practice of applying reign marks to imperial porcelains. The present charger, with its subtle yet masterfully incised 'lotus bouquet' design beneath a rich, unctuous white glaze, perfectly encapsulates the technical perfection of the Xuande imperial kilns. While early Ming anhua decorated 'lotus bouquet' dishes are occasionally found without a reign mark and attributed to the Yongle period, the present charger bearing a six-character Xuande mark is remarkably rare.
此件白釉大盤宏偉碩大，珍罕至極，展現明初白釉瓷傳統之延續與發展。飾有經典「一把蓮」紋之大盤，常見於永樂及宣德時期之青花瓷器，然罩施純白釉並輔以暗花紋飾者則極為罕見，而署有宣德年款者更是寥若晨星。
宮廷對白釉瓷器之推崇，於前朝永樂時期達到頂峰。永樂帝虔信藏傳佛教，且鍾愛溫潤如玉之「甜白」釉。當時朝廷曾下令燒造大量白瓷，以供高僧大德訪京時舉行佛教儀式之用，或作為御賜珍禮賞賜予西藏之重要寺廟。
宣德帝繼承了此一雅緻之審美，繼續燒造高品質之單色白釉器，並開創了於御瓷上書寫年款之制。本品罩施白釉，釉面豐潤肥厚，其下暗刻「一把蓮」紋，刀法婉轉流暢，若隱若現，完美體現了宣德御窰之精湛工藝。明初暗花一把蓮紋盤偶見無款之作，多定年為永樂；然如本品般尺寸碩大且署宣德六字款者，實屬極為難得之發現，堪稱明初御瓷之傑作。
