说明：本盌為此類名品中極為珍罕而別具一格之作。珊瑚紅地上繪繁茂花卉的盌類，約始燒於康熙晚期至雍正初期，乾隆朝復有仿製。傳世品所署款式不一，包括「康熙御製」、「雍正御製」、「雍正年製」、雍正六字年款及乾隆篆書款。各式例證均較本品尺寸為小，器身較高，盌壁外撇，載於《徐氏藝術館．陶瓷篇IV．清代》，香港，1995年，圖版158至160及166。另可比較英國鐵路退休基金會舊藏一件相近的大盌，於香港蘇富比1989年5月16日拍賣，編號73，並載於《蘇富比香港三十年》，香港，2003年，圖版318。
「御製」意指奉旨製作，相較於僅表明製作年代的「年製」款，更直接顯示器物與宮廷之間的密切聯繫。此款識亦承襲北京宮廷琺瑯作坊的署款方式，後者常以彩料書寫「御製」款。
可比較巴黎吉美國立亞洲藝術博物館藏一件極為相近的盌，載於《La céramique chinoise ancienne》，巴黎，2015年，頁212；另有一件於香港佳士得2002年4月29日拍賣，編號565。
