The centre of the painting with the Shambala king seated in lalitasana on a lotus base placed on an elaborate throne, his right hand holding the stem of a lotus flowering along his right upper arm, the left stretched outwards, wearing royal-like garments, his face displaying a fierce expression, his head topped with a richly adorned crown, head-halo behind, surrounded by various scenes placed in a mountainous landscape, the upper register with a several richly clad figures in pavilions and probably Guhyasamaja embracing his consort while the rest of the painting is covered with a myriad of warriors, chariots carrying warriors and divinities, in brocade mounting.
According to the present owner from an old Austrian private collection - Wear, traces of age and minor damages
