A fine Kraak dish, painted in a consistent and delicate shade of underglaze cobalt blue. The octagonal central design depicts a stork standing amidst a rocky landscape, its beak closed, surrounded by leafy branches, aquatic plants, and flowering sprays. Above, stylised clouds drift across the sky. Encircling the medallion are diaper borders composed of geometric patterns and reverse-decorated scrolling foliage.
The rim is divided into eight characteristic relief-moulded cartouches decorated with peaches, flowers, and auspicious emblems. These are separated by narrower panels containing beaded pendants, while geometric diaper motifs enrich the upper borders of the panels.
The reverse is similarly arranged into eight panels, each centred by a quadrilobed cartouche enclosing a simple floral motif. The panels are separated by narrower divisions decorated with linear ornament, creating the restrained yet harmonious decorative scheme characteristic of Kraak porcelain.
The depiction of the stork conveys themes of steadfastness and resilience in the face of life’s changing seasons. It is also associated with longevity and moral integrity, imbuing the composition with an additional layer of symbolic significance.
此件克拉克青花盤製作精細，通體以淡雅勻淨的青花繪飾。盤心八方形開光內繪花鳥山石圖，一隻鸛鳥閉喙立於山石之間，四周枝葉、水草與花卉相映，上方程式化流雲舒展。開光外環飾幾何錦地紋及青花地留白卷草紋。
口沿模印八組典型的克拉克式開光，內繪桃實、花卉及吉祥雜寶。各開光之間以飾連珠垂飾紋的狹長分格相隔，上方另以幾何錦地紋點綴。
盤背同樣分為八組開光，每組中央設四瓣形小開光，內繪簡練花卉，其間的狹長分格飾線條紋樣，整體布局疏朗協調，呈現出克拉克瓷典型的裝飾風格。
畫中鸛鳥寓意面對四時變遷仍能堅韌自持，亦象徵長壽與高潔品格，為畫面增添一層吉祥寓意。
