The globular ewer sturdily potted with a short cylindrical neck, faceted loop handle and curved tapering spout, the body richly painted in underglaze cobalt blue with a dense all-over design comprising cicadas, butterflies, shells, crane medallions, lotus blossoms, asters, prunus sprays and other flowering plants interspersed with scattered precious objects. The shoulder encircled by a band of stylised ruyi-head motifs and the lower body with pendent lappets above the foot.
此壺胎體厚實，圓腹，短直頸，一側置多棱環柄，另一側接彎曲長流，流口漸收。通體以青花滿繪紋飾，構圖繁密，題材包括蟬、蝴蝶、貝殼、團鶴、蓮花、紫菀、折枝梅花及各式花卉，其間散飾博古雜寶。肩部環飾一周如意雲頭紋，近足處則飾下垂蓮瓣紋。
