说明：此式蓋罐以鬪彩細繪團菊及番蓮紋，取法成化瓷器。名重一時的成化御瓷，是乾隆御窰重要的靈感來源。雖然目前未見與本品紋飾完全相同的成化原型，採用相近裝飾題材的罐例仍有傳世。可比較清宮舊藏一件成化鬪彩團菊蝴蝶紋罐，載於《故宮博物院藏文物珍品全集：五彩．鬪彩》，香港，1999年，圖版166。
乾隆宮廷對此類成化瓷器的珍視，亦見載於《清宮內務府造辦處檔案總匯》。乾隆十三年（1748年），乾隆皇帝命景德鎮督陶官唐英（1682–1756年）為一批宮藏明代名瓷補配罐蓋，其中包括一件成化五彩菊花紋罐。尤其值得注意的是，原器仍留存清宮，僅准將其摹本送往江西，足見宮廷對此類成化瓷器珍愛之深。
重要博物館收藏中可見相近的乾隆蓋罐。可比較天津博物館藏一對，載於《天津市藝術博物館藏瓷》，香港，1993年，圖版177；另一對曾展於《明清の美術》，大阪市立美術館，大阪，1980年，編號1-192；以及臺北國立故宮博物院藏一件，載於《故宮清瓷圖錄—乾隆窰．嘉慶窰．道光窰》，卷二，東京，1981年，圖版24。
另有一對與本品相同的蓋罐，於倫敦蘇富比2001年6月20日拍賣，編號16，其後於香港佳士得2013年11月27日拍賣，編號3209。另可比較一對蓋罐，先後於香港蘇富比1991年10月29日拍賣，編號214；1998年4月28日拍賣，編號816；其後再於倫敦蘇富比2021年11月3日拍賣，編號143。另有一件單罐於紐約蘇富比2018年9月12日拍賣，編號153。
